Our Services

What can we do together?

We are a multi-talented team of Indigenous people (and one settler ally) from across Turtle Island who are excited to work with you to discover how our gifts can come together and make our communities stronger and healthier.

Our services range from curriculum or workshop development, design, delivery or facilitation, and assessment, learning materials creation, policy development, community-based research and engagement, Indigenous engagement training,  communications, community planning, organisational change and leadership, graphic design, and more.

We specialise in areas such as child and family welfare, language and culture resurgence and revitalization, Indigenous governance, education, accessible learning, Indigenous cultural acumen, decolonization, and Indigenization.

Each member of our team has been involved in numerous successful projects for community, and we look forward to the opportunity to explore your project too.

We believe in honouring all participants in our work by creating experiences that recognize everyone as an expert and knowledge holder. Every person arrives with something to share. We engage in all work with this principle in mind.

Our Approach

At Oodenaw, we hold a number of personal and collective values that are ever present in the work we do together. The following describes our approach to community work and how we would engage with community in our partnership with all clients:

Indigenous-led: All that we do is grounded in our community values and belief systems.

Community-based: Our research and engagement methods are community-based. We put the community we are working with first. Nothing we do is without ethical considerations for community needs and wants. We cannot know for a community; they are our guides in any work that we do with them.

Intergenerational approach: We believe in engaging intergenerational knowledge in all of our work. Everyone has something important to contribute and we need to listen to voices from every generation.

Honouring participants: We believe in honouring all participants in our work by creating experiences that recognize everyone as an expert and knowledge holder. Every person arrives with something to share. We engage in all our work with this principle in mind.

Holding space for marginalized community voices: We consider and hold space for marginalized voices in community. These are often the most important voices to listen for as they are often left out.

Passionate about cultural initiatives: As much as we can, we aim to contribute to the cultural and linguistic resurgence of Indigenous peoples in all that we do.
